What are we?
The Phoenix Military & Veterans Hospitality Room is part of the Phoenix
Military & Veterans Commission. The Commission is a non-profit organization,
funded by private donations. The Hospitality Room was opened at the end
of 2006. It is staffed by volunteers.
Where are we?
The Hospitality Room is located on the mezzanine level in Terminal 2 at
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Look for the signs, or ask any Airport
Operations Employee, or Navigator (the folks in the purple jackets or
shirts). It is located on the non-secure side of the airport, so you do
NOT have to clear TSA screening to access it.
What if I'm not at terminal 2?
Ask at the information desk how to catch the Green & White
Inter-Terminal Bus. The
driver will tell you when you've reached Terminal 2. You can also use the Silver
Shuttle Bus to connect to the Valley Metro Light Rail station at 44th Street and
Washington.
Hours of operation
The Hospitality Room is currently open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.
to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Hospitality Room is
also open on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The
Hospitality Room is staffed by a great group of volunteers, many of whom are
veterans.
Is the Hospitality Room funded by the City?
No, neither the Hospitality Room nor the Phoenix Military and Veterans
Commission is supported by any municipal, state, or federal funding. We work
very closely with the City, but are supported by the generosity of private
donations and corporate contributions, including the airlines at Sky Harbor
Airport.
